Give us a call or fill in the form above, and one of our team will get back to you quickly to talk through what you need. We cover Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, so arranging a convenient time to come out and see you is straightforward.
The first conversation is just that, a conversation. No pressure, no sales pitch. You tell us what you are replace, which part of your home it is, and we can give you a rough idea of what to expect before we even visit.
Your Free Survey and Measure
Once you are happy to go ahead, we will arrange a free home survey at a time that suits you. One of our fitters will come out, take precise measurements of your door opening, and check the existing frame to see what condition it is in. Getting the measurements right at this stage means no surprises on fitting day.
This visit is also your chance to see samples in person. Colours and finishes always look different on a screen compared to holding them up against your brickwork in daylight. We bring swatches and profiles so you can see exactly what you are getting before anything is ordered.
Choosing the Right uPVC Door for Your Home
There is a lot more choice with uPVC doors than most people expect. For a front door, you can choose from solid panel designs, half-glazed options with decorative glass, or more traditional layouts with side panels. Colours include classic white, cream, anthracite grey, black, and a range of woodgrain foil finishes that are surprisingly convincing up close.
Back doors, French doors, patio doors, and stable doors are all available in uPVC too. French doors work well where you want a wide opening onto a garden or patio, and both door leaves come with independent multi-point locking as standard. Sliding patio doors are the better choice where space is tight on the inside, as they need no swing clearance. Stable doors are popular in Edinburgh kitchens where people want ventilation without losing security on the lower half.
All uPVC doors we fit come with double glazed units as standard, including toughened or laminated glass where it is needed for safety. The frames are reinforced with galvanised steel inserts, and the multi-point locking engages at several points around the frame rather than just one central bolt. That makes a real difference to how secure the door is in practice.
Manufacturing and Lead Times
Once you have confirmed your order and we have your measurements, your door goes into production. uPVC doors are made to the exact dimensions of your opening, so they are not pulled from a warehouse shelf. Lead times are typically around two to three weeks, depending on the specification and any glass design choices you have made.
We will keep you updated through that process and confirm your fitting date as soon as we have it. Most customers find the lead time goes quickly, especially if they are replacing a door that has been causing problems for a while.
Fitting Day: What to Expect
A single door replacement usually takes half a day. French doors or patio doors with larger frames may take a full day, depending on the size and any work needed around the reveal. Our fitters work tidily, protect the floor and surrounding area, and take the old door away with them when they leave.
You do not need to be involved throughout the whole process, but we will always check in with you before starting and walk you through the finished installation before we go. That includes showing you how the locking system works and confirming the door is sitting and sealing correctly. If anything does not look right to you, we sort it before leaving.
Aftercare and Your 10 Year Guarantee
Every uPVC door we install comes with a full 10 year guarantee covering both the product and the workmanship. That means if anything develops a fault, whether it is a seal failing, a handle mechanism stiffening, or any issue with the frame itself, you contact us and we come out to put it right. You are not chasing a manufacturer separately.
Day to day, uPVC doors need very little from you. A wipe down with soapy water every so often keeps them looking clean, and a drop of oil on the hinges and locking points once a year keeps everything moving smoothly. There is no painting, no sealing, and no treating the surface needed at any point.
If you are ready to get a quote for a new uPVC door in Edinburgh, call us on 0131 285 4025 and we will arrange your free survey. You can also fill in the form at the top of this page and we will come back to you shortly.
